My name is Elizabeth McLeod. I am a product of small-town country living, having been born and raised in Opp, Alabama. Defined by God and saved by the blood of Jesus Christ, I am built by true conservative principles:

My Path

After graduating from the University of Alabama in 2004, I headed south to the Emerald Coast to begin my Public Accounting career. Only four years into my professional climb in Public Accounting, everything changed overnight.

The United States Housing Market failed, sending the world into a deep recession. As American’s recovered, so did their vacations, but in one fatal and tragic split second, the beach would become 100% vacant. The Deepwater Horizon Explosion and subsequent oil spill proved the promises of recovery was just as depressed as our occupancy rate.

Though I didn’t realize it at the time, I am blessed beyond measure to have been given this experience. While most of my generation had been forced to find security in their parent’s home, I was determined to make it on my own. It wasn’t easy, and I made a lot of mistakes along the way, but I survived and came out a stronger person—both professionally and individually.
